24 October 2017. The first residential house in Europe and the CIS was built in Yaroslavl (Russia) with the 3D construction printing technology.
3D construction printing consists of the following steps: creating a 3D model on the computer, dividing the model into layers in cross section, layer-by-layer extrusion of the cement-based mixture in accordance with the model, solidifying of the material until the completion of the object.
The project was implemented by a group of companies "AMT-SPECAVIA". Construction began in 2015. The building frame was printed in parts and was assembled on the base within 1 month in December 2015. In the summer of 2017, the roof was completed and the interior finishing works was carried out. Today the house is plugged to all the utility systems and is ready for moving in.
The project is unique in that it is built for life, not for presentation. It is a real residential building. The ordinary Yaroslavl family will live in it.
The building fully complies with the individual housing construction rules and norms. To achieve this all phases of construction (inherent in other building technologies that are used today) were completed: the project design, the issuance of a building permit, the Technical Inventory Bureau passport issue, and the cadastral registration will be received of the first 3D-house by the end of October 2017.
Please, note that the "printed" house in Yaroslavl is the largest building in Europe and the CIS, built with the use of additive technology. Its total area is 298.5 sq.m.
"It was important for us to set a precedent – to show in practice that 3D construction technology is working," says Alexander Maslov, general director of the "AMT-SPECAVIA" Group, who was in charge of the construction. - at the time we started the project to print a house was something from the realm of fantasy. We set the task to make it real. To paraphrase the words of the famous Russian song, we managed to make a fairy tale come true. Printing was done in the shop with the smallest printer. We printed the building in parts (the walls of the house, decorative elements, the tower), took the parts to the construction site and assembled them as a Lego kit. Since then, of course, the equipment has been improved: both the speed of printing and the quality. But even our first model proved to be reliable and efficient equipment. "
The S-6044 construction printer, a portal type model with a working field of 3.5 x 3.6 x 1 m, was used for printing. The printer prints, for example, with standard M-300 sandcrete, that is on sale almost everywhere. Printing is done with layers 10 mm high and 30 to 50 mm wide. The speed of printing walls is up to 15 sq.m / h.
A construction 3D printer can print building structures (building frames, arches, cylindrical structures with given technological holes) and other concrete items of complex geometry. The time length from design to production is reduced up to 8-12 times.
